The Be Culture Framework is rooted in the Systems Change and Equity tenets of Adaptive Leadership and Beloved Community.

This Framework organizes the necessary balance between the pursuit of purpose and the care for people that characterize thriving and equitable culture in teams, organizations, congregations and communities.

The Be Culture Framework overcomes the status quo that prevents real, sustainable change. Organizing systems change and equity efforts using the Beloved Culture Framework replaces the contempt and polarization that pervades so much of today’s social interactions with increased bondedness and interdependence across hierarchies and ideologies.

The Framework is simple to remember and lends itself to customization and application across any type and scale of relational system, from marriages and family relationships to large distributed enterprises to congregations and communities. Authority in the system is useful, but not a requirement to begin implementing the Be Culture Framework.

Why
Everything starts here. Members of the culture must collectively understand and own the equitable shared purpose and core values.

How
Spread the responsibility for successful interactions across the system rather than limiting that function to positions of authority.  Each person is equipped and encouraged to “HOST” the culture through:

  • Honorable Collaboration

  • Openness to Learn and Adapt

  • Shared Accountability

  • Tending to Relationships

What
Ensure each functional group within the system understands how their priorities and unique characteristics contribute to collective success, while being interdependent with the broader group.
